Mr. Laskowski is a Managing Director and Head of Financial Entrepreneurs Group – Asia Pacific, Investment Banking at Citigroup Global Markets Asia Limited. Based in Hong Kong since 1999, Mr. Laskowski is responsible for Citigroup's coverage of the financial sponsor space. Utilizing Citigroup's global information network, he assists financial sponsors in generating investment ideas, completing complex M&A transactions, creating leveraged finance solutions, monetizing positions in the equity capital markets, executing private placements and fund raising. Mr. Laskowski has a broad client base that covers all of the major active pools of capital in Asia, including traditional global and local buyout funds, expansion capital-oriented funds, quasi-governmental investment organizations, leading hedge funds and venture capitalists. He and his team have executed over 20 transactions for financial sponsors in 2006 (year-to-date), including acting as M&A advisor and financing arranger lead for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts's purchase of the Software Development and Solutions Business of Flextronics (India), M&A advisor and financing lead arranger for The Carlyle Group's purchase of Eastern Multimedia Company ( Taiwan ) , M&A advisor for Warburg Pincus' investment in Gome Electrical Appliances (China), M&A advisor for Taishin Financial Holding's (Taiwan) placement of securities to Newbridge Capital and Nomura and placement agent to MBK Partners in relation to their global fund raising activities.

Prior to covering financial sponsors, Mr. Laskowski was an integral member of Citigroup's Financial Institutions Investment Banking team in both New York and Hong Kong. Mr. Laskowski specialized in transactions involving distressed banks and insurance companies. Among the landmark transactions he has executed in Asia are The Carlyle Group's purchase of Koram Bank and Lone Star’ s purchase of Korea Exchange Bank. Prior to investment banking, Mr. Laskowski managed a US$10 billion jumbo residential mortgages portfolio for one of the largest mortgage brokers in the United States. Mr. Laskowski received his BA from Michigan State University and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
