Mr. Zhang was graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in USA with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Having worked at Greenwich Capital Markets, Bank of Tokyo Securities (New York), and Springfield Financial Advisory Limited, he then rose to the position of Managing Director at Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific Region). In 2000, Mr. Zhang served as the Executive Director of CITIC Pacific Limited and also the President of CITIC Pacific Communications Ltd. In 2002, he joined to set up CITIC Capital Holdings Limited, and became the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Zhang is a member of the 11th China People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference and a Member of Harbin Standing Committee of the Chinese People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference. He is also the founder & Vice President of China Private Equity Association, and the founder of Committee of Mainland Overseas Returnees in Hong Kong Ltd.
